Project description:
This project was located on an underutilized shopping center pad that contained old and unattractive structures. The shopping center had a new development competing for its customers with tenants such as Big K-Mart, Rite Aid, Ray's Food Place, Denny's and McDonalds.
Pierson Company was overseeing the redevelopment of the complex and sought strong national tenants that could survive the changing shopping patterns this new market competition brought to the center. Pierson Company was successful in attracting Blockbuster and Subway as tenants and performed lease negotiations on behalf of the owner.
Design activities followed requiring us to devise a new building to accommodate the tenants and their detailed prototype plans.
